The British rock band The Who installed twelve JBL 4350 studio monitors in the control room of their Rampart Studios in Twickenham, England. This massive setup was used for monitoring and final mixdowns of master tapes during recording sessions in the mid-1970s. The JBL 4350s were the highest-output monitors JBL produced at the time, with each speaker capable of a sustained output of over 125 decibels. The Who famously utilized multiple JBL speakers at Ramport Studios in Battersea, South London, to record and mix their landmark 1973 double album, Quadrophenia. The band established Ramport specifically to capture a powerful, "live" sound for the ambitious project, which was originally intended to be mixed in quadraphonic sound. Speaker Configuration at Ramport Studios The Setup: While the initial plan for the studio featured Lockwood speakers, these were replaced before opening with eight JBL 4320s to handle the high-volume requirements of the band. Quadraphonic Layout: Four of these monitors were placed at the front of the control room and four at the back to facilitate the quadraphonic mixing process. Power: These speakers were driven by high-output Crown DC300 amplifiers to achieve the desired "live" intensity. Studio History Location: Ramport Studios was located in a former church hall at 115 Thessaly Road in Battersea (not Twickenham). Ownership: The Who owned the studio through a company called Ramport, with all four band members serving as directors. Legacy: In addition to Quadrophenia, the studio was used to record other classic albums, including Supertramp’s Crime of the Century and Judas Priest’s Sin After Sin. It was later purchased by Virgin Records in 1983 and renamed Townhouse 3

Covjek je tako jednostavno objasnio od cega i kako je napravljen svijet oko nas da ti se cini samopodrazumijevajucim! Usporedite sad to sa komplikacijama kako vam je slucajni prolaznik objasnio u kojem smjeru je, npr. najbliza cevabdzinica ako bas slucajno ne stojite ispred nje.

Kada bolje filozofski razmislim, da li vise voli riba crva, ili crv ribu?! Ali, vidis, crna magija je to, zabole ribu za crva, i makar bio i veliki crv, nista od ulova!
