    What is Linux?

    Linux is a clone variety of Unix written by Linus Torvalds with assistance from a loosely-knit team of hackers across the Net. It aims towards POSIX compliance. It has all the features you would expect in a modern fully-fledged Unix, including true multitasking, virtual memory, shared libraries, demand loading, shared copy-on-write executables, proper memory management and TCP/IP networking. It is distributed under the GNU General Public License, developed originally for home PCs, but which now runs on practically every hardware platform available including PowerPC, Macintosh, DEC Alpha, Sun Sparc, ARM, Mainframes, and many others. Linux aims for POSIX compliancy to maintain maximum compatibility with other UNIX-like systems. With millions of users worldwide, Linux is probably the most popular UNIX-like OS in the world.

    Why do some people insist on using Linux?

    Linux is free from adware, trialware, shovelware, and bloatware. Running Linux is like watching the public TV network.A basic installation of Linux as an office desktop is often easier than installing Windows (depending on distribution selected).One thing that Linux can do that Windows can not, is run from a CD. To run Windows, it has to first be installed to your hard disk. Normally Linux also runs from a hard disk, but there are quite a few versions of Linux that run completely from a CD without having to be installed to a hard disk.While 40 Linux viruses exist and virus scanners such as Guarddog and Clam-AV do exist and are free of course.. The major source of threat to Linux systems at present seems to be exploits on browsers such as Firefox and Opera...48,000 new virus signatures were documented for Windows, compared to 40 for Linux. Whether or not you chose Linux for your computers, even if you're a rabid Bill Gates fan- you'll be using it in other ways - Internet servers, cell phones, handheld devices, watches and embedded devices of all kinds....

    Open Source

    Free software and open source are not synonymous. Free software is more of a political stance than an economic one: "free" refers not to price but to philosophy. Free software can be used and modified without restriction. In the proprietary, single vendor or non-free software world we know this concept as piracy, except where very liberal licenses apply.

    Freedom to modify is a pillar of this philosophy. The responsibility accompanying that freedom comes in the form of the GNU Public License (GPL). The GPL states that distributing a product that uses free software within its core or periphery (derivatives of the GPL differ) requires the distributor or vendor to also distribute or make available the product source code so that others may enjoy the same freedom to use and modify.

    What is a distribution?

    A Linux distribution, often simply distribution or distro, is a member of the GNU/Linux family of Unix-like computer operating systems. Such systems are built from the Linux kernel and assorted other packages, such as the X Window System and software from the GNU project.     Conclusion

    Linux is not not harder to use--Linux is just different--unique and simple.

    The hardest part of moving someone from Windows to Linux is

    mental--it takes time ...

    If you wish Linux to be just exactly like Windows, you will probably be disappointed.

    When I started using Linux, I really be prepared for it and i liked it.

    Ostalo kod mene iz grupnjaka, levo sa 4 konda i dva greca, 2 komada, dve dvostrane sa po 8 kondova i dva greca i cela gomila sa po 8 kondova ali bez montaznog prostora za grecove, tako da moze da se strpa dva puta po 4 komada i posebno grecovi od brzih dioda...     A sto se tice Sajber-Kurajber izraza i nije neki...Ja sam se spojio sa mashinom (vise vrsta masina) poodavno....Dok ovo kucam imam josh 26 tabova (u kojem pratim najmanje tri obavezne aplikacije) u Mozilli 3 konzolna prozora sluzbeni jabber messenger systemkomunikacije - sluzbeni mob. tel. fix sluzb. - pratim notifikacije servera sms-om i mailovima + grafikone protoka i rada - gledam mejlove korisnika i odgovaram na njih,gledam kako radi centrala i plus pratim 10 operatera sta govore istovremeno + kad im nesto nije jasno - objasnjavam im i savetujem ih + ovoga pisempo neki post a da se nista ne raspadne na NET-u...Mozak mi je kao kanta za podatke.Radije bi pobegao i samo sklapao pojacala - od kucista do plocica -sve sam...No obicno kad dodjem kuci vracam se u normalu tako sto opet sednem za komp. - pa onda pauza...Zato sam dosao do 150kg pa sam posle zadnje posete doktoru smrsao 15...Ovo mu dodje kao ispovest u 6 redova...Ovo je pravi izraz za moje stanje:post-1-1243881712_thumb.jpgP.S.Zato sam se i preorjentisao na ovu vrstu zabave...PC problematika mi je dosla dovde :cheers:

    Jbga - jedva da imam slobodnog vremena toliko da cu jedva i da polemim delove....Znam da lemim i merim - plocice da pravim na gajbi i ne bi bash...Do dushe moze i bez plocice...P.SDa odavde nemam mogucnost da postujem - verovatnobi imao 2 posta nedeljno....heheh. :rofl:

    grecovi u RK , mada najbolje da uradis sa brzim diodama ;

    sp300B moz' da ti kaze koje je on koristio za Babel -da ja sad ne izvlacim iz mmozga ;

    sto se tice seme za napajanje - genericka sema - po grani 2x33mF kondovi .

    ne pitaj za semu nego kukaj i zakukavaj ima li ko viska jedniu plocicu za PSU iz GB

    Zen, Leo-ideja je dobra.Otvaramo onda u gotovim projektima "Babelfish-jos jedan u najavi" pa vi ubacite slike (mene zanimaju najvise slike iznutrica-da vidim kako je ispalo posto je kutija vec bila kod mene)Pozdrav :rofl:

    E stvarno je dobro kutejce svaka cast na izboru <_<

    Ma kako ne - pravio Mlava da ostane kod njega do Armagedona...No i da se greje malo vise sta fali (bitno je da se ne pregreva) - ja se secam da sam na MF-A1 kad jebio kod mene mogao caj da skuvam na hladnjaku.... :moil:

    Sto se tice napajanja za Komp mislim da cu da napravim jedno DIY - High End -vec u glavi imam projekat :moil: A sto se tice karte iz prvog posta proslo je jedno 150h neprekidnog slusanja (od zadnjeg lema)inace su na kartici sad 2x10.000uF <_< - tako da se usvirava neprekidno - mislim da ovako sad bolje svira od bilo kog M-Audia , Emu-a, Juli@-e, svih kartica koje sam slusao direktno - na sluskama -pa cak i svih CD-playera koje sam cuo do sada / mozda preterujem - da bilo koji DAC ili CD player na svetu ne mogu da pariraju PCI kartici - ali radicemo uporedne testove - naravno kad napravim napajanje od 500w (sa torusom) sa jedno 2 x 100.000uF za komp.Primetio sam da ova karta sve bolje svira sto ima vise 1.000-a uF vezanih na napajanju za hard....Mislim da mi ne treba nista vise kao izvor zvuka.... :idea: Kartica kako sad izgleda (na Mlavinoj kutiji :moil: )post-1-1243751687_thumb.jpgU kucistu:post-1-1243751704_thumb.jpg :moil:

    <_< Zar si sumnjao da će sve rupe biti na mestu.Kad bi znao koliko sam razmeravao da bi sve stalo u tako mali prostor. :moil:

    E da spominjao sam ti kod Mlave Dyanaco Pat-5 Bi-FET Stereo preamp - ovo jenajbolji preamp-koji sam cuo u zivotu (da prija mom sluhu) onomad kod Zlatka - covek je promenio bar 10 preampova ali ovajmi je ostao u delu mozga za pamcenje zvuka :post-1-1243651996_thumb.jpg(slika je od PAT-4 al nema veze skoro su isti-spolja)Unutra nema nijedna jedina plocica sve visi u vazduhu - zicama je spajanohakletovano - shuma zica ... i ...
