    OK.

You explained there all about that.

    Thnx 4 tht.

    Question 1. for you - who designed Magnum MP150 preamp and MF125 mono's ?

    Question 2. - which wire used in MP 150 and MF125 ?

Both were based on the MF250 and MP and MC 250 I did at Magnum.

  2. Setting bias I have learnt for FET amps is a bit hit or miss.

I load the amp with the current set to zero on the pre-set.

Then a 10KHz signal is plug in so the the 8 Ohm load RESISTOR has just 2 Volts Pk-Pk

You can then clearly see the Cross Over distortion on a scope.

Adjust the pre-set with care until the distortion is gone, keep a careful monitor of the heat sink temperature and it is best a a ambient of 25C

The Amp will sound amazing and run slightly warm and low levels.

    I hope this helps?

    Best Col

Hi I did this design in the late 1970,s it is a Complementary Common Base stage the original chip had matched transistors , but when A.C Magnum and I parted Tony wanting to make more money replaced them, to be honest shit transistors without thermal sharing substrates , a bad move Relph.  Noise lept up and so did the distortion.

Two audio Magnum amplification and another who knows how sucks t and those of other Magnum's on the Mile. :roll1:

You probably unconsciously made synergy in the system:

" A. C. Magnum Ltd was founded by Tony Relph who was also one of the co-founders of Rega. Rega is the abbreviation of the names RElph and Gandy. Tony Relph went on to found A. C. Magnum. Tony Relph has since retired and these amplifiers are no longer manufacturer. Magnum used Colin Wonfor circuit designs and there was definitely some collaboration between Colin Wonfor and Tony Relph at the beginning. Maybe the company name was actually stands for Anthony. Colin. "

The above statement is not quite correct:-

Sorry No, this is wrong, Magnum was formed from my company MIH, which became Pro-Ac Magnum, then Tony Relph joined me as a business guru, then after 3 yrs managed after locking me out after a holiday stole the company and I was force to take legal action for use of some patents. and stealing my company. Meanwhile I started Inca Tech producing no electronics until the legal action was resolved but the world first Gold Plated Power Connectors for the audio world, now be warned never share a company 50/50 if you have started it you partner may not be so trustworthy as you.
