  1. nope - that will increase negative offset

    what I said is " increase R26 for 220R"

This still doesn't make sense to me. You mean R25 to 220R (max for it)??

My thinking tells me to use 1K instead of 680R, should get more wiggle room with R25 pot. 680R improved over 470R, which was improved over 390R original. OR I should try to swap R25 to 1K pot. This makes sense to me.... :frusty:

More resistance here has been dropping the offset, but not enough room to get near 0v. :P

Let me translate: Increase R26 for 220R = Increase R26 by 220R, as in "add 220R to R26"

  2. you told me once how much they're more effective than Cu spreaders ?

Naah, they're about the same efficiency as Cu spreaders, just a fraction of the weight, and with a few nifty features seen in no other material that I know of.The main reason for me to use pyro-carbon heatspreaders is that it besides having high conductivity, is directional. This allows me to make all the critters run under the same temperature, even during the power up/heat up sequence. Had I needed to use copper for the Donuts for instance, I would have ended up with like 20-25kg higher total weight. I honestly think that they are heavy enough as is.Magura :D
  3. Magura - refresh my memory - what's that black material you're using as heat spreaders carbon , cut from brake plates ?

Yes, that is a type of carbon, that is 100% carbon, as opposed to the regular types which is 90% carbon at best. It's called pyro-carbon, and is used for carbon brakes, surgical implants, and heatsinks for aerospace electronics and the like.Mine started out the life cycle as test brake discs for the car cabon brake project.Magura :D
  4. Anyhow, Do you agree with a measurement points shown previously (where and how) ? :girl_devil:

Now that I've spent a lot of time tuning the Donuts, one thing I learned was that next time I make a PCB, I will make pads for measuring points. You seem to have plenty of room for that (so did I, but did not think of it back then).Magura :happy64:

Nice to see something a little more civil than the usual upside down frying pan :Viannen_loungelizard: I think this is the best design. Magura :happy64:
  6. Oups....That wasn't the entire truth. We had Serbian white wine at the dinner, which actually was a pleasant surprise. My bag was full of bottles of grappa already when we arrived in Serbia, but had I been able to carry a few bottles, I would have brought a few of the Serbian white home.Magura :happy64:

  7. Add to that in San Francisco as well. It seems like every place has it's own Variac? Man... :girl_devil:

    (ZM)

Nope, this was not Variac style, but rather pleasant actually  No sleep deprivation, and so forth :buehehe:

We had a great time building that Pumpkin, to be honest.
