I just saw your "twin" thread at big Diya. It's gonna be fun to see if anybody there has the balls to actually build one.Regarding Eagle......you know I can deal with it, so it has to be a walk in the park Magura / whom soon will be served pancakes
Then why so high DCR ? 4R7 seems like a lot. ...But then again, you also don't need 0.9H, so you could loose some turns and loose some DCR in the process Magura
For a super low power Donut, I would think such a transformer is close to ideal, as that would have been my second choice, if I had not made air core donuts instead. The only drawback I came think of, would be loads of heat generation, if you some day wake up, and feel like having a few W of power. How big are they? Magura
It could be worth a shot. For sure you should build the servo version. I am still wondering what was going on with mine. A servo would sure cure any sort of problem in that regard.Magura
Well, Metaldanske has figured that he may have to deal with the fact, that he needs to find a different place to store those magnets.I can make the speaker do 20Hz....that's all very impressive. What I can't make it do, is pass 25Hz or so on the way. Looses total control of the cone. Now why is that?Because some phucker has blocked half the horn with magnets Magura
So, what you're suggesting is that for the cone for the FR driver, I simply make a negative cast of Mrs. Magura? That would be quite a good sales argument Magura
I could make such, if you care to arrange a group buy....as some around here already knows, I'm no fan of handling GB's :cheers:Never the less, I could sure make such, if the need is bigger than 4 pcs.Magura
So, we now have a coil that is 8.5mm wide, and one that's 10.5mm wide. That ought to do the trick. Nasty weather, so no going to the remote storage to check up on varnish today.Magura
I had a friend visiting me today. His first comment when he entered the living room was : Oh they're big!Now my first thought was : quit ogling her titsAfter some thought, I realized he meant the Donuts.Funny thing is, just like with tits, that when you see them every day, after some time they don't seem all that big.........it's just that all the other amps/tits seems soooo small Magura
The varnish is the one Synflex offers for motor winding. I don't have it here, but can get to the barrel tomorrow. It is polyurethane based, heat curing. The same as I use for inductors.Magura
Ok, let me try to mess with your Serbian slang....If you take the foil and twist the end into the shape of a round wire, it is possible to solder it using the solder mentioned above. If you play it smart, you nick the braided wire from a dead Dynaudio unit, as it is actually tinned aluminium. Thus you will be able to have respectable solder joints, both for the end where the foil is connected, and for the terminal end.Magura
I hope that circumstances and time permits that I come to the BAF this year. .....and that is a very good offer Vladimir. I'll take you up on it.Magura
The temp difference from the critter to the carbon heat spreader, is some 4 to 5C, a bit hard to get to measure.IRF244 critter runs at around 45C, sinks are maxing out at 30-32C, some 9C above ambient.Magura
Naah, just not that many options, when it comes to placing the system. Not that it makes any difference actually, but I too thought it would, so I measured the temp of the amp, once in place, and then moved away from the radiator....about 1C difference And now for something completely different: I have made a CLEAR photo. Mucho effort, but worked.Magura
