Nelson Pass' SLOB (single woofer)

In 2012 Nelson Pass presented at the Burning Amp this bi-amped Slot Loaded Open Baffle speaker with an active crossover (the famous B5) which includes a notch cell for the full range and a +6 dB Eq on the woofer.

Since I am building it and there are very few innovations among the 8 inch fullrange drivers (even the Lii are inspired by old Coral speakers), I would like to exchange some opinions on the 20cm (or more) drivers of present and  past , also considering that I don't have a very large budget and that the frequency respose can be a bit tamed by crossover (in my case a custom ACN). This design can be built with removable front baffle, so you can easily switch driver and play with ACN/B5.
Please share your experiences and impressions with medium to big fullranges!

Grazie. Avrò l'opportunità di provare un paio di grandi driver Lii non so se 15 o 18": mai ascoltato un driver fullrange >  10"

Third one on the list is 12".

They probably don't need a bass helper in a bassreflex box, but they certainly need supertweeters, say some Fountek ribbon, for example CD3.5H.
